These terms describe how HexWave is offered. They are written in plain language and kept short on purpose. If anything below is unclear, see Contact.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using HexWave at https://hexwave.app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. The Service

HexWave is an I Ching reading product. It calculates a Birth Hexagram triad from your birth date using the Plum Blossom method, surfaces a daily hexagram, and offers Mutual Hex Maps and Bond Levels between people you add. The reading interpretations are synthesized by a language model driven by our proprietary calculation frameworks and curated prompts, and are then cached. We provide the service as is, without warranty of any specific outcome. The I Ching is a system of symbols; HexWave is a reading tool for educational and entertainment purposes, not a medical, legal, or financial advisor.

3. Subscriptions

HexWave Premium subscriptions are sold through the mobile app via the Apple App Store or Google Play. A Premium subscription is an auto-renewing subscription: it renews automatically for the same period and price until you cancel it in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Your account is charged for the renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends, unless you cancel at least 24 hours beforehand; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period. Subscription pricing, payment processing, taxes, renewals, and refunds are handled by Apple or Google, not by HexWave. The free tier never expires and never requires a card. For purchases made through the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that this agreement is concluded between you and HexWave only, and not with Apple. HexWave, not Apple, is solely responsible for the app and its content. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these terms and may enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary. Your use of the app must also comply with the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.

HexWave, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to the app or your use of it, including but not limited to product liability claims, any claim that the app fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement, and claims arising under consumer protection, privacy, or similar legislation. In the event of any third-party claim that the app or your use of it infringes that party's intellectual property rights, HexWave, not Apple, is solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of any such claim. You represent and warrant that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated by the U.S. Government as a terrorist-supporting country, and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

4. Acceptable Use

Use HexWave for yourself and the people you connect with. Do not attempt to scrape the content library, reverse the calculation engine, abuse the LLM generation pipeline, impersonate other people, or use the service to harass anyone. We may suspend accounts that violate these constraints. HexWave is subject to fair-use limits and anti-abuse measures; we may rate-limit or temporarily restrict excessive automated requests.

5. Intellectual Property

The I Ching itself belongs to no one. The HexWave product (the calculation engine, the design, the prompt architecture, and the specific compilation of the generated interpretations) is owned by HexWave. You retain ownership of the birth data and content you provide. You grant HexWave a non-exclusive, worldwide license to process that data solely to deliver the service to you.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, HexWave is provided as is. HexWave is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Total liability under these terms is limited to the amount you paid HexWave in the twelve months preceding the claim.

7. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, and disputes will be resolved in the courts of the State of Israel, except where the mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence grant you rights or a forum that cannot be waived by agreement. Nothing in these terms removes any statutory consumer right you have under the law of your country of residence.

8. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced in the app and on this page. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
