The pattern of your day
Born on January 1, you keep a boundary you know is arbitrary, because Capricorn earth understands that invented markers still carry weight.
You know perfectly well that the boundary is arbitrary. The planet does nothing on the thirty-first of December that it does not also do on the eighth of March, and you could explain that to anybody who asked.
You observe it anyway, and seriously, and you have never fully accounted to yourself for why.
The reason is better than you think. Arbitrary markers are load bearing. A thing has to begin somewhere, and a beginning you did not choose is worth considerably more than one you did, because you cannot negotiate with it, postpone it, or decide on the morning that conditions are not quite right.
This is the same instinct that makes you keep appointments you would rather cancel and finish books you have stopped enjoying.
Where it goes wrong is that you extend the seriousness indiscriminately. Not every arbitrary structure earns it. Some of what you have upheld for years was a convention somebody invented in a hurry, and you have been treating it with the gravity you owe a genuine commitment.

What is a Birth Hexagram?
Your Birth Hexagram Triad is three things at once: a Primary Hexagram (who you are), a Changing Line (your growth edge), and a Resultant Hexagram (who you are becoming). It is computed, not guessed, from the Chinese lunar calendar via the Plum Blossom method.
